La Liga Adelante has become the ideal showcase for young players. This has been demonstrated with the winning of the Euro Under-19 Championship in Greece. Nine of the eighteen newly crowned champions have already had a taste of football in la Liga BBVA and la Liga Adelante. Many of them were crucial members of their teams last season, but after the success achieved this summer, they aspire to become leading players in the immediate future.
Asensio's magic takes the stage
Marco Asensio needs no introduction. He shone so brightly in his role at RCD Mallorca that R. Madrid didn't think twice about securing his services. The six goals he registered in 36 appearances are just a sign of what we’ll see this year in la Liga BBVA. The speed and technique he exudes have stunned the football world during the Euro u-19s.

The future of R. Betis is called Ceballos
There's no doubting Dani Ceballos…his goals; he'll be one of the men most spoken about this season due to his goals, his seemingly impossible passes, and his hunger on the pitch. The midfielder from Seville has already won the heart of Pepe Mel and all the ‘verdiblanca’ supporters, and this season he aims to do the same with la Liga BBVA fans.
The solidity of Borja San Emeterio
Along with his twin brother Fede, he carried the R. Racing C. defence on his shoulders. He made 20 appearances at centre-back and attracted interest from various teams in the league. In the end, although Racing didn't manage to stay up and will play in Segunda División B this season, Borja has been rewarded with the success at the Euros.
Captain Vallejo
Jesús Vallejo is living at full speed the most exciting moment of his career. With the departure of the three centre-halves that R. Zaragoza had, he was chosen to give solidity to a defence which had been taken apart. At the age of 18 he was given the captain's armband and he took on the mantle of strongman on and off the pitch. The same happened with the national u19s, for whom he has just lifted the winners’ trophy.
Concha, all excitement
After R. Racing C didn't mange to stay in la Liga Adelante, the talent of David Concha will continue to shine in LaLiga thanks to his signing by Real Sociedad. This young Cantabrian is backed up by his five goals in 35 games and the fact that he was the player to have played the most minutes for the Santander team.
Meré and the Sporting challenge
The youth exuded by the R. Sporting team has one of his finest exponents in the shape of Jorge Meré. With excitement, skill and a European Championship under his belt, everything is looking up, and that's what Abelardo Fernández’s team needs in order to take on their adventure in la Liga BBVA.
Merino, following in the footsteps of Puñal
Mikel Merino has had Osasuna in his blood from a young age; that's why the midfielder aspires to become a leading figure within the club. He made 29 appearances last season and made space for himself in the ‘rojillo’ starting eleven, but this year his only dream is to achieve promotion to la Liga BBVA.

Almería also have their gem
Sergi Barjuan's arrival at UD Almería at the end of the season gave Antonio Marín a boost of encouragement. The Almerian youth team player was one of the new coach's gambles and although the team didn’t manage to stay up, the defender will be, without doubt, one of the outstanding players in la Liga Adelante this season.
Young lifeblood on the way
As well as the 'Euro' stars who are already shining lights in la Liga Adelante and will continue to grow in la Liga BBVA, there are other players who should be followed closely, such as goalkeeper Antonio Sivera, who has already been included in matchday squads for Valencia C.F., and the gem of the RC Celta youth system, Pape Cheikh.
