José Ramón Sandovalhas said his goodbyes to Granada CF. The Andalusian side announced their decision to dispense with the Madrid-born manager's services, after the team's most recent defeat at the hands of Valencia CF.
The coach took over on the Nazari bench at the tail end of last season and managed to save the team from relegation in their final showdown against Atletico Madrid. This campaign, the Granada side once again find themselves languishing in the danger zone at the bottom of the table having racked up a total of 5 wins, 5 draws and 15 defeats.
"Our organisation would like to thank the coach, who was the architect of our continued presence in the first division last season after achieving record numbers in the final five games, for his work and professionalism and we wish him all the luck in the world in his future sporting projects", the club's statement read.
