Joan Garcia has received the award for Best Save of the Month in LALIGA EA SPORTS for January. This is the second time the goalkeeper has won the award, having also won it in August. The Barça keeper made a stratospheric save to prevent RCD Espanyol de Barcelona from scoring in the Barcelona derby. Joan made a memorable save in the 38th minute of the game with the score at 0-0 to deny Pere Milla a goal. It was a reflex save that allowed the Blaugranas to keep a clean sheet.

The FC Barcelona goalkeeper has been one of the standout players in his first season under Hansi Flick. In the 15 games he has played in LALIGA EA SPORTS, he has conceded 11 goals and kept eight clean sheets. The goalkeeper beat Odysseas Vlachodimos and Álex Remiro in the voting.
