Cadena Ser headquarters in Madrid hosted this Thursday November 26 the official presentation of the XX International Tournament LaLiga Promises to be held from 27 to December 29 at Ransom Everglades School in Miami.
The event was attended by the President of LaLiga, Javier Tebas, the president of the Sports High Council, Miguel Cardenal, the president of El Larguero Foundation, José Ramón de la Morena, along with Florentino Perez, Enrique Cerezo and Raul Martin Presa, presidents of Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid and Rayo Vallecano, respectively.
The International Tournament LaLiga Promises celebrates its twentieth edition and Javier Tebas stressed how special that is: "We have set a much greater challenge: going abroad to promote our league. I thank to El Larguero Foundation for initiating this tournament and giving to LaLiga the opportunity to promote the Spanish football in Miami, where the mayor is very excited and wants us to go there every Christmas".
For Jose Ramon de la Morena, the International Tournament LaLiga Promises "is a Christmas story for children, who for a few days feel like real footballers. They appear on the papers, they do interviews on radio and on television. All national team players have gone through this tournament. We are doing something for the Spanish football and the football of the future". In addition, the president of El Larguero Foundation announced that Raul Gonzalez Blanco will play a game in Miami with a selection of the best players.
Finally, Miguel Cardenal stressed that "we must stop and think about what it is this tournament, we must feel very proud that something like this is done in Spain".
In all, 17 U-12 team will participate in the XX International Tournament LaLiga Promises in Miami. Seven Spanish teams (Real Madrid CF, Club Atlético de Madrid, Sevilla FC, RC Celta de Vigo, FC Barcelona, Villarreal CF and Valencia CF), three Europeans (Borussia Dortmund, Juventus FC and Crystal Palace FC) and the rest outside Europe: Aspire Academy (Qatar), Sagan Tosu (Japan), Chicago Fire SC (USA), CF America (Mexico), Club Estudiantes (Argentina), Orlando City SC (United States) and Weston FC (United States).
