Javi Gracia: "A very positive assessment of the experience"

A fantastic end of tour for Málaga CF. Javi Gracia´s side managed to take the Copa Euroamericana title of champion in Montevideo in their last game of LaLigaWorld in South America.

More than 15,000 fans attended the match with the expectation of seeing the Manya facing a team of LaLiga with the Copa Euroamericana at stake, and the show did not disappoint. Málaga won by a convincing 3-1 against CA Peñarol in the historic venue that spawned the World Cup, the Estadio Centenario. Charles, Roberto Rosales and Duda scored for Malaga in the second half, offsetting the initial goal by Diego Ifrán for CA Peñarol.

Both clubs boards, LaLiga and DirecTV took the half time break to mutually acknowledge and thank for organizing the event by an exchange of memories of this historic match. Dario Silva, former Málaga CF player, was so excited to receive a present by hands of Vicente Casado and Francisco Martín Aguilar, malaguistas executives, along with José Luis Astiazarán, Laliga Ambassador. Dario Silva, commented his recognition to Laliga: "For us is very important to see European teams around here. I think it's good what you're doing here today because it involves everyone in football world, especially in South America and Europe”.

LaLiga will begin in less than a month and Málaga team manager Javi Gracia wanted to rate this LFP World Challenge Tour: "A very positive assessment of the experience to compete with three teams in three historical stages. It was a very good personal experience to live.”

After the match the blanquiazul squad moved directly to Montevideo airport to begin the return to Malaga, where they will arrive on august 3 for further training and preparation.
