Isaac Becerra Alguacil (Badalona, Spain, 18 June 1988) has been named the Best Goalkeeper in LaLiga 1|2|3 2015/16 on the back of an outstanding last season. His superb performances between the sticks were a major factor in Girona FC ending the campaign with the best defensive record in the division.
The shotstopper's agility and reflexes made him a key cog in Pablo Machin's machine last term. He played all 46 of the club's league matches – 42 out of 42 in the regular season and all four playoff games – and conceded just 34 goals along the way. His form did not go unnoticed by the rest of LaLiga 1|2|3 and R. Valladolid CF duly snapped him up this past summer.
Becerra racked up a total of 4,170 minutes of LaLiga 1|2|3 action in 2015/16, in which he made no fewer than 118 saves, which were worth numerous points to his side over the course of the campaign. All in all, he had a huge hand in keeping Girona's promotion dreams alive right down to the wire.
