SÁB 31.01.2015
SD Eibar and Atlético Madrid face off in what is set to be one of the most exciting games of Matchday 21 in the Liga BBVA. It will be the third time the teams have faced each other in the Municipal de Ipurúa stadium, after meeting in seasons 2000-2001 and 2001-02 in the Liga Adelante.
The Basque outfit, the surprise package of the season, go into the game looking to hold onto eighth place in the league table, while the Rojiblancos will be hoping to get over their elimination from the Copa del Rey and hold on to third place, while also fighting to catch up with title chasers FC Barcelona (currently in second place) and Real Madrid (the league leaders).
Team news
The Basque side will be without one of their mainstays in midfield due to the suspension of Dani García, who picked up a fifth yellow card for the season in the 1-0 defeat at Real Sociedad.
Men to watch
Eibar striker and ex-Atlético player Manu del Moral: "It will be a difficult game, we will try and play to out strengths and be at 100 percent to try and get the victory and give our fans some joy."
Diego Simeone, Atlético coach: "As well as being excellent in defence and tactically astute, Eibar have a lot of quality. They have experience in attack, play well with the ball at their feet and know how to play in reduced space."
