The six LaLiga followers who are this weekend participating in the #LigaBBVAExperience in Gran Canaria are enjoying getting a feel of what it's like to be part of the best league on the planet. The fans, who hail from Georgia and the Ukraine, were giving a first-hand taster of the passion which surrounds the game in our country, the hospitable nature of the Spanish and the important role that LaLiga plays in the daily lives of the locals.
The day got underway with a visit to the beaches of Maspalomas, in the southern part of the island, where much fun was had by all. The followers were able to take in the sea air and the sound of the waves before visiting the dunes and sampling some of the local cuisine on the sea front. At night, the guests headed over to the authentically Spanish Río Miño restaurant, which is where the Las Palmas squad gather to celebrate their triumphs at the end of each season.
The day was topped off by a tour around the iconic Gran Canaria stadium, during which the visitors were given the chance to visit the dressing rooms, the players' tunnel, the media room and the executive boxes, before heading out on to the pitch which will be graced by the Las Palmas and Real Madrid players. The guests were also given the opportunity to try their hand at commentating from the stadium's tannoy room. Upon returning pitchside, the supporters were greeted by a typical island aperitif, which the club had laid on, to round off the stadium tour in real style.
After such an action-packed day, everything is now in place for the event which culminates the #LigaBBVAExperience as the guests prepare to attend a top game which is fit only the most distinguished of guests.
