Ten points. No defeats. Outright league leaders. Levante UD could hardly have made a better start to life back in the second tier. Juan Ramon Lopez Muñiz's unbeaten side are sitting pretty at the top of the table after racking up three wins and one draw from their four LaLiga 1|2|3 games this term.

The team's in-form frontline has had a substantial hand in Levante's success in recent weeks. And interestingly, it is two players who graduated from the club's youth set-up – Roger Marti and David Remeseiro, better known as Jason – who have been leading the way. Together they account for over half (six) of the club's total goal tally (eight), with Roger having found the net four times while Jason has struck twice.
The development and recruitment work put in at Levante's Buñol academy is certainly paying dividends in the opening stages of the campaign. Wide man Jason joined the club at Under-18s level and impressed sufficiently to earn his first-team debut against Sevilla FC at the Ciutat de Valencia in 2013. Centre forward Roger has been at the club slightly longer, having been snapped up to bolster Jose Gomez's B-team in 2011. His goalscoring exploits for the reserves saw him given the nod for the big boys that very same year.
Despite getting an early look-in at first-team level, both were subsequently loaned out in order to continue cutting their teeth. Now, however, their time has come at Levante and they are seizing their opportunity to shine. Roger and Jason have started the season as they mean to carry on and if they manage to continue performing the way they have over the first four rounds of action, the Granotes seem destined to be serious contenders for promotion back to LaLiga Santander.
