Head Soccer undergoes festive revamp with an additional game mode & an array of new features

There's no standing still for LaLiga's successful Head Soccer game, with the latest version, which features a new Events Mode, to be released in time for Christmas. This update means that users are now able to enjoy a total of six different game modes (Cup, Friendly, League, Survival, Divisions and Events).

Each week will bring with it a new event that ties in with the matchday's headline fixture, with some fantastic rewards including boots, masks, hats and glasses up for grabs. The events are tailored to the city where the match is being played and feature a map indicating the various levels as users navigate their way to the stadium. Each level can be played up to four times, so as to allow gamers to earn a range of rewards, which become more attractive as they progress through the game.

To mark the launch of the new game mode, an event has been designed to recreate one of the season's most eagerly anticipated fixtures: El Clasico between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, which is to be played on 23 December at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The "El Clasico" event takes its inspiration from the landscape of the Spanish capital. The game map features some of Madrid's major landmarks, including the Cibeles Fountain and El Retiro Park, as users make their way towards the Santiago Bernabeu. Each level sees gamers pit their wits against a different Real Madrid or Barcelona player, giving them the opportunity to face off against the likes of Nacho and Sergio Busquets, before testing their mettle against Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. 

Once El Clasico is done and dusted, next to launch will be the "Merry Christmas" event, in which the game map and opponents have been treated to a festive makeover. The rewards and the game's editor also have a distinctly Christmassy feel to them, with festive masks, Santa and reindeer hats and elf boots offering the game some seasonal cheer.
