On Monday Granada CF and Athletic Club will close the seventh round of Liga BBVA fixtures. The side from Andalusia are without a win since the first round of games, whilst the Basque outfit will want to confirm their return to form at Los Cármenes.

Piti, who is carrying a knock, is the only absentee for Lucas Alcaraz's side, who welcome back Diego Mainz and Riki to the squad. The Granada coach stressed that "the last two opponents we’ve faced at home have been very strong, and Athletico are strong too. We'll need to play a complete match if we want to win". Alcaraz also added that "Athletic are a direct side, a team with a lot of fluidity, and we’ll have to be physical and intense. You simply have to win at home".
This week Athletic have concentrated on carrying on their good form after the victory against Real Betis Balompié last time out. For the encounter Ernesto Valverde will be without the injured Kike Solá, Saborit, Ekiza and Balenziaga.

Valverde said of Granada CF "they're a difficult side to play against, and if they shut up shop at the back it’s difficult to get through them". The head coach of the Basque side went on to say: "we want the three points, but we know it’s going to be complicated. We’ve started well, and now we have to carry on accumulating points".
