Granada CF:
-CF Granada starts this Liga BBVA in very high spirit after the great last season finale of past term, in which they achieved to stay in the top division.
- Jose Ramon Sandoval will continue at the helm: the manager from Madrid took over Granada with just four match days remaining and managed to remove the six-point gap between themselves and relegation, adding ten of the last 12 points.
- The new faces presented by the Andalusian squad to face its fifth consecutive year in the best competition, are creating a lot of enthusiasm, with additions of experienced players in Liga BBVA such as Lombán, Ruben Perez and Andres Fernandez.
SD Eibar:
- The "armero" team will try to emulate the start of campaign completed last season, achieving even to be the best Basque team at the end of the first round of the championship with 27 points.
- Mendilibar will be responsible to manage Eibar in its second year in Liga BBVA. The coach from Vizcaya faces its second stage in command of the club, who already trained in season 2004/05. His work with Valladolid, Osasuna and Levante endorse his experience at the highest level.
- The Basque side have strengthened their squad with a mix of players who stood out last year in the Liga Adelante, as Bastón, Keko, Enrich or Juncà, and some others with experience in Liga BBVA, as Riesgo, Luna or Adrian.
