Getafe take the spoils in the Riazor

Getafe CF collected another Liga BBVA victory by beating RC Deportivo 1-2 on matchday ten of the competition. Goals from Fabricio (in his own net) and Ángel Lafita, proved too much for a side from Coruña who only managed to reply towards the end of the match through Hélder Postiga. 

The men from the capital and the Galicians put on an electric display in the first half. Both sides were hungry for victory and enjoyed moments of solid football, but it was the visitors who were compensated for their efforts. French striker Yoda rifled a shot into the post that ricocheted off Fabricio and into the back of his own net to make it 0-1. Deportivo, however, kept knocking on the door and nearly equalised just before the break, but Iván Cavaleiro's shot hit the side netting. 

Immediately after the restart, Getafe took their chance to put the game to bed. A quick turn-around from the visitors ended with Lafita scoring his team's second goal, catching the home side off-guard. Cosmín Contra's men had chances to increased the gap, but eventually Postiga cut the deficit for Deportivo, though his goal was not enough to rescue any points. The result catapults Getafe up the table, with ten points from the last 15 available.
