The Madrid derby between Atlético Madrid and Getafe CF will be one of the highlights of Liga BBVA matchday 14.
The home side, which sits second in the league, will be looking to continue its recent good form over its local rivals, against whom it has not suffered a defeat since the 6th of November 2011. Mario Suárez is still not fully recovered, and will therefore miss Saturday’s match. In relation to Getafe, Diego Pablo Simeone stated that: "They are a competitive team. They are well organised, have pace up front and are dangerous with dead ball situations".
Adrián Colunga will be back in time to travel with Getafe to the Vicente Calderón after overcoming a muscle tear in his left leg. "This is always an attractive fixture and we will go out in search of a positive result, knowing that it will be a difficult encounter", Luis García Plaza, the Getafe coach, declared in his pre-match press conference.
