Four players to keep an eye on this matchday in LaLiga Fantasy MARCA

LaLiga Santander returns this weekend bringing with it all the excitement of LaLiga Fantasy MARCA. We take a look at four strikers who we think you should keep close tabs on this weekend. If they aren't in your team, it could be time to consider drafting them in.

Ruben Castro

The Real Betis forward is the top goalscorer in LaLiga Santander and he will want to remain there come the end of the weekend. Castro has notched four goals in his first three matches, but his game is about much more than that. His runs into the box, efforts on goal and dribbles are also earning him points in LaLiga Fantasy MARCA, where he is one of the highest-scoring players. Now Castro has his sights set on Granada CF, with Gustavo Poyet's side hosting their Andalusian neighbours at the Estadio Benito Villamarin on Friday evening. The 35-year-old wants to head into the derby against Sevilla FC on Tuesday in red-hot form and a sterling performance against Granada would be the perfect way to gear up for #TheGreatDerby. The Spaniard is definitely one of the players to look out for this matchday.

Duje Cop

The Croat racked up seven goals in 31 league appearances for Malaga CF last season and has hit the ground running this term, with two goals in his first three games in LaLiga Santander since joining R. Sporting. Cop seems to have won over Abelardo Fernandez in a short period of time, with the coach selecting him in the starting lineup in every match so far, allowing the forward to pick up 25 LaLiga Fantasy MARCA points in the process. Next stop is the Vicente Calderon and although it is a difficult ground to play at, the visitors can take inspiration from the fact that D. Alaves left the capital with a point on the opening day. If Sporting are to experience a similar fate, it is likely to be down to Cop's impressive goalscoring form.

Nicola Sansone

The injuries to Roberto Soldado and Cedric Bakambu have handed Sansone an opportunity to impress up front for Villarreal CF and the Germany-born Italy international has done just that. The former Sassuolo hitman has started all three of Villarreal's LaLiga Santander fixtures and is settling in very nicely. He opened his scoring account away to Malaga last weekend and will be raring to find the net again this Sunday against Real Sociedad. With Bakambu edging closer to a comeback, Sansone needs to keep staking his claim.

Antoine Griezmann

Following a sensational last season in which he helped Atletico Madrid to the final of the Champions League with his goals and was named Player of the Tournament at EURO 2016 on home soil, Griezmann made a slow start to the current campaign and the Rojiblancos missed his impact keenly. Indeed, the Frenchman failed to get on the scoresheet on the opening two matchdays as Atletico were held to draws by Alaves and CD Leganes. However, Griezmann was back to his best in the 4-0 win over RC Celta in Vigo, bagging a brace and serving up in an assist in a masterclass that earned him the LaLiga Fantasy MARCA Player of the Matchday gong last time out. High-flying Sporting promise to put Griezmann's resurgence to the test this weekend.
