Football and film flourish in the LaLiga Santander Experience

Everyone believed that the Malaga Film Festival was dedicated exclusively to cinema, but the beautiful game also got in on the act over the weekend. The group of winners and influencers from Greece, Hungary and Russia enjoyed a wonderful weekend thanks to the LaLiga Santander Experience and the main broadcasters in their host countries: COSMOTE TV, Sport1 and Telesport respectively.

Lights, camera, action. The weekend got off to a brilliant start, with the winners and journalists getting an exclusive sneak peek of Atletico Malagueño's training session and a real insight into how the side sitting on top of Group 9 of the Tercera Division (the fourth tier) get their charges ready to compete.

Malaga CF then opened up the doors of La Rosaleda, where the first team play their home games, to welcome the visitors, who received kits with their names on the back and were able to do the walk from the dressing room out on to the pitch, following in the footsteps of so many global football stars. After finding out all about the club's history and exploring every corner of the stadium, they embarked on a guided tour of Malaga, allowing them to discover the delights of the city, as well as its outstanding gastronomy.

On matchday itself, they met up with members of El Palo, a Malaga supporters' club, to find out the fans' secrets and familiarise themselves with their "Vamos Malaga!" war cry. Malaga and Real Madrid ensured it was a memorable evening for all, by doing what they do best and producing a real footballing spectacle. The thrilling contest rounded off a weekend that will certainly live long in the memories of the lucky participants.
