• Juegos del Mediterraneo Stadium was built in 2004 on the occasion of the celebration of Almería's XV Mediterranean Games held in summer of 2005.
• The opening and closing ceremonies of the event took place at the stage, in which a full house with 15,200 spectators was recorded.
• With a budget of 21 million euros, it is one of the most modern and functional grounds of LaLiga.
• From this season, the second team of the Andalusian club, Almeria B, also play their Second Division B matches at the Juegos del Mediterraneo Stadium.
• It is a multi-purpose facility that houses spaces for various sports such as boxing, fencing, weightlifting, used by clubs and schools of the city, and a Gym open to the public. Thanks to the running track surrounding the field of grass, this stadium is, every year, the finish of the City of Almería International Half Marathon.
