- FC Barcelona B's coach, Gerard Lopez (better known simply as Gerard), hails from a footballing family. Both of his brothers played the beautiful game professionally and the better-known of the two, Sergi, represented Los Azulgranas at the highest level in the late 1980s. For his part, Gerard – the youngest of the three – not only spent five years in the Barcelona first team during his playing career, but also plied his trade for the reserves in the 1996/97 campaign.
