First away victory in two minutes

Only 15 minutes were needed for R. Sporting to open the score at El Molinon. It came from an excellent play by Guerrero, who assisted Tony Sanabria for him to score his sixth goal of the season.

Croatian magic

Sporting gave a great show throughout the first 45 minutes. The player with the leading role was Halilovic, who bragged of his quality by dribbling past various rivals making them fall.

Getafe’s reaction

It looked as if nothing was going to change after the first few minutes of the second half, but Getafe reacted. They were close to drawing from a penalty kick, but the woodwork stopped Pedro Leon from scoring his first goal of the season. Fran Escriba’s side insisted and ended up finding their reward.

Scepovic’s return

The Serbian was back in what had been his first Spanish stadium and he ruined his former supporters’ night. Firstly, he was the man that received the penalty which Pedro Leon sent to the post, and afterwards he collaborated in the comeback play, keeping control on the ball and assisting Pablo Sarabia for the 1-2.

Two minute comeback

Getafe was unable to win in their eight away matches this season and in two minutes they ended their bad streak. First it was Juan Cala who headed a free kick into the back of the net to equalize and a minute later Pablo Sarabia sealed the comeback.
