Fernando Sanz, director of LaLiga’s Middle East and North Africa (MENA) office  was named ambassador of 'Save the Dream' during the course of business at the meeting of the International Center for Sport Security (ICSS) and the Organización de Estados Americanos (OEA) held in Washington. Sanz was accompanied by former teammate and friend Fernando Hierro, who is also an ambassador of this initiative. Both legends of the Spanish game are united in their support of this new global project that promotes integrity in the sport.

Sanz, who participated in the ICSS event with a presentation on “Integrity and Security in the sport”, declared that “it’s a pleasure for me to have been chosen to collaborate with this prestigious group of sports professionals”. The ex-footballer added that “the 'Save the Dream' ambassadors are real icons of sport. Together we can contribute to the teaching of values like respect, integrity and working in a team to young people.”

'Save the Dream' is a Project aimed at young people worldwide, whose aim is to spread fair play and stand against corruption, violence and discrimination in sport. It is an ICSS and Qatar Olympic Committee initiative, brainchild of the Italian ex-footballer Alessandro del Piero, and counts on the participation of other athletes from the world’s sporting elite.

Fernando Sanz y Fernando Hierro were joined by Save the Dream executive director, Massimiliano Montanari. The general director of LaLiga Mena also met with the president of the International Center for Sport Security (ICSS), Mohammed Hanzab.
