The Ciudad Deportiva PAMESA Cerámica is brimming with emotion and excitement; the thrill of every game, the celebration of every goal, the anticipation when each player steps out onto the pitch… Because it’s the families who are providing the colour and excitement from their vantage point in the Villarreal stands. Parents and siblings who have travelled from all over Spain to give their unwavering support to a group of youngsters who are here fulfilling a dream.

“We are so proud to see our children here. We get nervous, because we think of them and we want them to win, to do well on the pitch, but above all to enjoy themselves, which is the most important thing”, says Rocío, one of the Sevilla academy team’s mums, who watched her son earn his pass to the quarter-finals of LaLiga Promises on the morning of Saturday, 5 June.

The father of Iván Vega, a Getafe CF player, also uses the word “pride” to describe how he and the other parents feel when they see their young charges take part in LaLiga Promises Santander. “We’ve come all the way from Getafe to support them, and we feel a tremendous sense of pride. We have witnessed all of the hard work our children have put in over the year and we are really excited for them” says Jose María.

They are not the only families from Madrid however. Leganes UD, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid have also felt the warmth and affection of their fans. “It’s really exciting to see them step out onto the field. We really enjoy being with them and we accompany them wherever it’s needed”, says Cristina, the mother of Álvaro Rodríguez, Real Madrid’s goalkeeper.

“We are with them to the ends of the earth. Granada is proving to be a great team and we are proud to be living this experience with them”, says Juan, father of a Granada player. In addition, he assures that this tournament is "a unique experience for everybody", not just for the children but for the families accompanying them, and who are "enjoying a perfectly well-organized tournament."

Without a doubt, one of the best experiences for these children is not only participating in the PAMESA LaLiga Promises Santander National Tournament, but also being able to do so in front of their families and friends.
