Everyone around the world is speaking about Messi and Barcelona’s title

The global media have focused on the performance of the Argentine and the number of titles won by Barça en recent years.

Barcelona’s LaLiga title triumph resonated around the globe on the weekend. Their 26th title was headline news  in the sports pages of the international media.

In the United States, beIN Sports USA highlighted the number of titles Barça have won in recent years: 'Barcelona won their 10th title since 2000, the most won by any Spanish club this century". 

As to be expected, everyone heaped praise on Lionel Messi, who started the game on the bench, entered the match in the second half, and scored the winning goal that left Barça nine points ahead of Atletico Madrid with three games left to play.

Fort he French sports newspaper L'Equipe, Messi’s goal, along with his season with the culés, proved the importance of the Argentine to the team: 'Messi delivers Barça’s 26the league title’.

The Hindustan Times, a leading Indian newspaper, also played up the role of the Blaugrana captain with their headline: 'Messi takes Barça to their eighth LaLiga title in 11 years'.

The MENA beINSports network, in the Arab-speaking world, has used the Messi’s entrance against Levante as the angle of the title: 'Messi resolved things ... Barça is officially the champion of LaLiga for the second consecutive time and 26th in its history'.

A Bola', in Portugal, highlighted the play of the Argentinean goal within the penalty area, with the title: 'The genius Messi confirms the second consecutive championship for Barcelona'.

Tencent Sports, one of the strongest online sports platforms in China, also highlighted the Argentinean: 'Leo Messi has gone out in the second half and scored the goal of the match. Barça, champion of LaLiga Santander 2018/2019!

 Globoesporte, Brazil's leading sports platform, mentioned Leo's 34 goals this season in LaLiga Santander and his 10 competition titles, all in this century: ‘Messi comes off the bench, scores and guarantees the second-consecutive Spanish championship of Barcelona'.

In the country of LaLiga's top scorer, Diário Olé used a pun mentioning his last rival: 'Levante otra Liga, Leo', highlighting the tenth title of the Number 10.
