This week saw Evan Dimas visit the LaLiga headquarters, where he was given a first-hand feel of the organisational structure, facilities and workings of the best league on the planet. He also made the most of his visit to meet LaLiga president, Javier Tebas, and find out more about the working methods of the different areas that make up LaLiga and the impact that his stay in Spain has had on social media.
Dimas was joined on his visit by the Liga BBVA ambassador and former Athletic Club and RCD Espanyol player, Ismael Urzaiz. Following Dimas's visit to the headquarters, he next met LaLiga president, Javier Tebas, who presented him with a commemorative plaque to mark his status as the first player involved a programme which supports the development of foreign players.
Dimas had the following words for Tebas, "I want to thank LaLiga, and in particular the organisation's president for all of the help you've offered me. This stay in Spain has been a unique opportunity for me, and without your support, it wouldn't have been possible. You’ve changed my life."

Prior to his visit to the LaLiga headquarters, Dimas took advantage of his day in Madrid and along with Ismael Urzaiz, he visited the Spanish capital's major landmarks, including Neptuno (where Atletico Madrid fans congregate to celebrate their team's triumphs), Cibeles (where Real Madrid supporters gather to toast their successes), the parque del Retiro (one of the largest parks in the city), the Puerta de Alcala (a former city gate), the Plaza Mayor (one of the city's main squares), the Royal Palace and the Almudena Cathedral.
Evan Dimas is the first player selected to take part in the LaLiga Global project, which promotes activities to develop LaLiga's international brand, including supporting stand-out local footballers from various different countries by giving them an opportunity to hone their skills in the best possible environment.
Through this project, LaLiga is aiming to support the development of young talents in several countries throughout the world, while placing special emphasis on future gems. Dimas is the first of many players who will participate and visit different major clubs in Spain to get to know their working methods.
