Eusebio's debut
Eusebio Sacristan made his debut as Real Sociedad’s manager following Moyes’ destitution. The coach couldn’t have had a better appearance and he took home an important victory, which gives his team the chance to look upwards on the table.
Andreolli injured
With the initial parity between both teams, the most relevant moment came with Andreolli’s injury. The Italian had a bad turn in a play near the halfway line and left with clear pain signs, whining about his knee problems. Emery restructured the team by putting Kolo in but he lost some room for reaction from the bench.
Chance for Inmobile
After a first half without many chances, the score could have fallen towards Sevillas’ side in a chance that Inmobile wasted. In a good combination by the Andalusians, the Italian was left with a one on one against Rulli, but the keeper stopped his attempt.
Agirretxe keeps on scoring
However, from Sevilla’s opportunity to score what came was Real Sociedad’s goal. Krychowiak goofed a clearance and Agirretxe didn’t miss. The striker crossed the ball without letting it bounce to beat Sergio Rico and add his ninth goal to his personal score.
Sentence by Xabi Prieto
The away team suffered after conceding the first goal, Emery made some changes in the attack bringing Gameiro on, but it didn’t work. In a new offence, Real Sociedad secured a victory after Xabi Prieto caught another loose ball in the box.
