RCD Espanyol will welcome Villarreal CF to the Cornellà-El Prat Stadium in the final game of the 25th matchday of the Liga BBVA.

On Monday Espanyol will look for their third victory on the trot against Villareal, a team that hasn't won in ten games. Javier Aguirre praised his opponents and warned of the dangers of the team in yellow. “They are having an excellent season”, said the Mexican manager. “It's a side that will come here to defend their place in Europe”. Felipe Mattioni and Manuel Lanzarote are the new names on the blue-and-whites’ line-up.

Marcelino García Toral's side arrive in Cornellà in a different situation. After two losses in a row, they will look to win at home in order to remain in the European spots. The Villarreal manager explained that the key to the match will be in the intensity of their game. "If we want to get anything out of it, we'll have to be very switched on in defence". Only Pablo Íñiguez will miss the match due to a pulled right hamstring.
