The eighth instalment of this season's LaLiga Santander Experience programme proved a delight for viewers of three of the international networks that broadcast the best league in the world. On this occasion, 12 subscribers to Eleven Sports Belgium, ESPN South America and beIN SPORTS France, as well as a beIN journalist, were blown away by the action at the Vicente Calderon, which was rocking for the last-ever meeting between Atletico Madrid and Valencia CF on the banks of the River Manzanares.
The lucky winners of contests run on social media by the aforementioned broadcasters were treated to an unforgettable experience of the sort that precious few people can boast of having enjoyed. Besides attending the match at one of the most historic stadiums in LaLiga, these passionate fans also toured the ground, walking out on to the pitch, going into the dressing rooms and visiting the museum. In addition, they had the chance to meet members of a Rojiblancos supporters' club and to explore some of the most charming spots in the Spanish capital. Meanwhile, the reporter from the French broadcaster got to document the events and go behind the scenes to soak up the buzz generated by football in Spain.

From "amazing" to "special" – not to mention "incredible" and "unique" –, by the end of the encounter at the Vicente Calderon, these VIP visitors were running out of superlatives to describe what they had witnessed. It was a sensational spectacle amid an electric atmosphere as goals from Antoine Griezmann and Kevin Gameiro secured a victory that moved Atletico – embroiled in a battle to qualify for the Champions League again next year – back into the top four of the table.
Yet again, the LaLiga Santander Experience – part of a robust internationalisation process that Spanish professional football's organising body has been stepping up even further in recent months – was a dream come true for yet another group of subscribers to official LaLiga broadcasters. The initiative will be back again this coming weekend, from 10 to 12 March, when the participants will be descending on A Coruña for another fantastic weekend that will be capped by the showdown between RC Deportivo and FC Barcelona at Riazor, a game that is sure to set everyone's pulses racing.
