For the Blanquiazules, midfielders Álex Fernández and Paco Montañés, as well as defender Álvaro González, are unavailable, while Víctor Sánchez, who was suspended against Elche, Abraham González and Raúl Rodríguez return. For Villareal, Mateo Musacchio, Jokić, Hernán Pérez and Cani are all out injured.

"We've played well at home", said Sergio González of Sunday's match, "and we want to carry that on." His opposite number, the visitors' boss Marcelino García Toral, has faith in his side, though he says there's still room for improvement. "Our defence has a good balance, we just happen to be on a run in which, as soon as we've allowed our opponents the slightest bit of space, we've been conceding goals."
