Espanyol fall in Getafe's fortress

The Coliseum Alfonso Pérez had to settle for Getafe CF and RCD Espanyol's chances on goal in their clash on matchday 26 of the Liga BBVA as there were no goals to enjoy. The teams produced a goalless draw and will have to wait until next week to continue scaling the table. 

Despite chances for Sergio García and Sidnei da Silva in the Catalan side, the ball never touched the back of the net. Luis García's men doubled up in defence to prevent Espanyol from taking control of the match and take their chances on the counter. 

The point each team took from the game will have a bittersweet taste because it means they will have to keep a watchful eye on the relegation zone. In a negative note, goalkeeper Miguel Ángel Moyà had to withdraw from the game with an injury he picked up when he clashed with one of the opposition.
