Real Valladolid and FC Barcelona kick off the 27th round of Liga BBVA fixtures at the Estadio José Zorilla, with the home side attempting to move away from the danger zone.
They are looking to make their stadium a fortress in their attempts to deny Barcelona a victory. Juan Ignacio Martínez said: "We aren't going to just give up any game. We know it will be hard, very hard, but at the Zorilla we have a greater chance than way". He has a full squad, apart from Jeffren Suárez, at his disposition.
Barça coach Gerardo Martino spoke along the same lines: "It's a dangerous game because it means a lot to the opponents. As the home side they’ve won four and only lost twice". Carles Puyol, Jordi Alba, Alex Song, Isaac Cuenca, José Manuel Pinto, Jonathan Dos Santos and Andrés Iniesta all miss out. The skipper will miss the game after announcing this week that he will leave the club at the end of the season. His side will be looking to give him the best possible send-off at the same place he made his debut back in 1999.
