One of Liga BBVA's magic moments is when thousands of Sevilla fans sing their side's song. This passion reflects the spirit of Sevilla FC: "never give up and the art of football is unrivalled".

This slogan was the key last season, when the Andalusian side were proclaimed champions of the Europa League, after sneaking through to the final by overcoming Valencia CF. This season could not have started any better, especially in comparison to last year, when the side were in 14th following a win and two draws, 15 points off top place.

Now, with one trophy in his 18 months at the club, Unai Emery hopes to take Sevilla back to the Champions League, four years since they were last there. Despite defeat last time out to Atlético Madrid, Sevilla's start to La Liga has been positive, winning convincingly in four of their six games.

Continuity
Emery knows what it is to take players to the top level of competition. He did it for three consecutive seasons with Valencia CF, and this season, with the Europa League already won, he will want to take his side back to the top four.

The Europa League heroes will be key if they're to achieve their objective. From the goal, protected by Beto, up to the opposition's box, which occupied by Carlos Bacca, who scored 21 times in his first campaign as a Sevilla player they have key players. Stéphane M'Bia is tireless in the centre of the park, and it was his two goals against Valencia that saw him become an idol in Andalusia.

Some excellent signings
This summer, three players key to Sevilla in the 2013/14 campaign left the club: Ivan Rakitić, Federico Fazio and Alberto Moreno. Undeterred, the club signed replacements who have already won the hearts of the club’s fans.

In the middle of the park Grzegorz Krychowiak stands out. The Pole is not only a destroyer, but also helps his teammates and uses the ball well. To the right of Krychowiak is Aleix Vidal, a Catalan winger who has scored twice already this campaign, nailing down the position. One of the side's most notable captures is talented youngster Denis Suárez, who arrived on loan from Barcelona. The mercurial talent is part of Liga BBVA's team of the month for September.

To these names, we must add other big signings such as Éver Banega, Gerard Deloufeu, Mariano Barbosa, Iago Aspas, Benoît Trémoulinas and Timothée Kolodziejczak. A healthy selecction dilemma for Unai Emery to have as he looks to take Sevilla back to their Champions League.
