#ElClasico, LaLiga's global event

On the occasion of the match between Real Madrid CF and FC Barcelona to be played on November 21, LaLiga will organize several events to enjoy the match in a very special way in different parts of the world. Dubai, Shanghai, Madrid, Barcelona, Miami and the Spanish military base at Lebanon will enjoy their respective celebrations of LaLiga during the match.

LaLiga´s three Global Events in China, USA and Lebanon will unite the three countries in the celebration of Spanish football in a much more direct way. Fans gathered at these places may interact with each other through giant screens placed in each of the stages in Miami (Margaret Pace Park), Shanghai (UME International Cineplex) and Lebanon (Spanish military detachment in the country), with the collaboration of LaLiga´s international broadcasters: BeIN Sports and PPTV. Each of these events will have the participation of a Liga BBVA Ambassador. Gaizka Mendieta (Miami), Christian Karembeu (Shanghai) and Ismael Urzaiz (Lebanon) will travel to these places to live the match alongside the followers of LaLiga.

These three LaLiga events can be followed through LaLiga TV and LaLiga´s YouTube Channel as well as through the international signal of the match that is offered to all television broadcasters worldwide. Social Media will track all the initiatives through the hashtag #ElClasico that will be used officially by Real Madrid CF, FC Barcelona and LaLiga. National and international media that have been invited to participate in these events, will receive the signal from the three venues and will be able to embed in their digital environments the signal from LaLiga´s YouTube Channel.

The international signal of the match will be distributed to all international broadcasters for the first time in the highest quality UHD (Ultra High Definition). Mediapro, the company which commercialize LaLiga´s audiovisual rights at international level, will equip a mobile unit with 12 4K cameras, with which will broadcast the signal of #ElClasico to televisions around the world. This technology offers a resolution which allows to perceive details through an augmented reality. The deployment for the game includes 37 cameras at the Santiago Bernabeu, a record figure in a match between Real Madrid CF and FC Barcelona.

Taking advantage of this technology, the match can be enjoyed in a very special way also in Madrid and Barcelona. In the two Spanish cities, the experience of the highest quality picture and sound with Movistar + can also be enjoyed. The events will be held in the Movistar Flagship Store in Madrid (Gran Via, 28) and Barcelona (Diagonal ..), where you can live #ElClasico for the first in Spain in UHD quality. In addition, the Spanish spectators that have this technology in their televisions can also follow the match with this image quality at their homes.

As regards the international events around #ElClasico, LaLiga will also be with the national football fans in another city far from our borders. Fernando Sanz, first Liga BBVA Ambassador and director of LaLiga´s office for Middle East and North Africa, will sponsor an international event of LaLiga more linked to #ElClasico tradition. Under LaLiga´s office in MENA, in collaboration with BBVA and for the third consecutive season, several dozen fans will enjoy the match in Dubai with the best atmosphere of the celebrations of our football.
With the events in Shanghai, Miami, Lebanon, Dubai, Madrid and Barcelona the Spanish professional football continues with its strong presence internationally. Thus, it goes a step further in close cooperation with our international broadcasters and the value of the Spanish competition and all its participants increases.
