Real Betis Balompié travel to the Martínez Valero Stadium to take on Elche for matchday 28 of the Liga BBVA campaign. The Andalusians will need all three points if they are to stand any chance of staying up this season.
Despite losing 3-1 to Espanyol last weekend, Elche lies safe in the table with 29 points. "This game is not decisive although it is very important, just like all eleven of our remaining fixtures are", declared Fran Escribá, who will be without Edu Albacar.
Betis managed to pick up an important victory against Getafe (2-0) last weekend. Nonetheless, Gabriel Calderón’s men are still in desperate need of a victory against the home side. "A win would be huge for us and would move us in the right direction, even more so if someone else slips up", the Argentine manager stated. The Green and Whites will have to fight for their lives without Nacho, Joan Verdú and Chuli, while Lolo Reyes is doubtful to feature.
