Frantic start
It was hard to imagine a better start to the match as Jose Luis Mendilibar’s men rolled over their sloppy and aimless hosts. After only four minutes, Capa put Los Armeros ahead. Keko’s subtle layoff put the midfielder through on goal and he found the net with a low cross-shot that deflected off a Betis defender.
Keko's week
The Eibar forward was the best player of the first half. He helped set up the first goal and scored the second. He finished from near the penalty spot connecting with a cross from the right wing. It was Keko’s second in the Liga BBVA, the first having come against Sporting earlier in the week.
Ruben Castro chance
Five minutes from the end of the first half, Ruben Castro had a chance to change the course of the game. The Betis forward received a cross from Molinero in the area and shot from close range, but Asier Riesgo made a good reflex save. It was the first opportunity of the match for Betis.
Adrián and Borja Bastón seal the win
Adrián ended any hopes of a comeback from Betis by finishing off a superb counter-attack following an assist from Capa.
The best was saved for last. With only a few minutes remaining, Borja Bastón left fly with a spectacular effort from the edge of the area that fizzed into the top corner.

Eibar’s second consecutive win
Mendilibar’s side said goodbye to 2015 with a 2-0 victory over Sporting and start the new year with a second triumph, while Betis slump to a fifth game without a win. Perhaps more worrying for Betis coach Pepe Mel is that they have failed to score in their last four games.
