Match Facts:

Malaga CF (11th, 12 pts)

- Home advantage has been telling in recent meetings between Malaga and Sporting in LaLiga, with the hosts winning the last five, three of which were played at La Rosaleda, while two were at El Molinon.

- Ignacio Camacho is in hot form for Malaga, having notched goals in each of his last two appearances. The Spaniard has the chance to extend his goalscoring run to three league games for the first time on Friday.

- It will be a particularly special fixture for Jony, who will lock horns with his former teammates for the first time since leaving the club. "I've watched all their games, I like watching my friends play. Just like last year, they have fast wide players who they've mixed with quality players that can keep possession like Victor Rodriguez and Moi Gomez. They've built a good side."

R. Sporting (18th, 9 pts)

- Sporting are a side of ups and downs. The club has gone seven games without tasting victory (two draws and five defeats) since recording two wins in their first three games.

- Moi is the key man at the moment, having been directly involved in two of Sporting's last three league goals with a goal and an assist.

- Duje Cop will also line up against his former club in familiar surroundings, having spent last season featuring for the home side at La Rosaleda. "I'm motivated to play in every LaLiga game, not just the one on Friday because I'm going back to Malaga where I had a good experience and still have close friends. I only have good things to say about the club and the people there."
