For this clash, Diego Pablo Simeone has called up the same players as he did in their last match, against Getafe CF. Miroslav Djukić will have to make do without José Carlos Fernández and Eduard Campabadal, but Fede Vico is back in the fold.

For Simeone, his team still has some way to go to find their best form: "We're not playing as well as we can. There is a lot of room for improvement and I think that's normal. New players have come in and it takes time to adapt".
For the part of the new helmsman of the Blanquiverdes, the important thing is to find a way to play as a team: "We need to search for our style and our philosophy for the upcoming matches. I want to see a team that is daring and gives everything on the pitch".
