UD Almería host Levante UD in the game corresponding to matchday 29 of the Liga BBVA. The Valencian side and the Andalusian team are in 18th and 17th place respectively in the table, each on 25 points. As such, the match assumes an even greater importance in the fight to avoid the relegation zone.
Squads
Levante will be without Iván Ramis due to an accumulation of cards and Víctor Camarasa due to injury. As for the Andalusian side, Thomas Teye will not be able to participate due to a ban, while Míchel Macedo and Fran Vélez are unavailable due to injuries. However, Juanfran García will finally be the squad and Lucas Alcaraz will be able to avail of the defender.
Thoughts of the managers
Juan Ignacio Martínez, the Almería manager, talked about his opponent before the game: "They are a very ordered team and can cause damage on the counterattack, which has brought them a lot of success over the last few games. They will definitely aim to take advantage of the slightest error we may commit".
Meanwhile, the Levante coach Lucas Alcaraz, wanted to take the pressure off his players and insisted that it is not a final: "Even if we win in Almería, there is a lot left to do. However, from a psychological perspective it could be a very important win", he stated.
