Liga BBVA winners FC Barcelona host RC Deportivo on the final day of the season, with the Galicians facing 90 minutes in which their top-flight survival is at stake. Three points for the visitors, who sit 17th on 34 points, would guarantee they stay out of the drop zone. However, los blaugranas will also be out to put on a show for their supporters following their recent title success, so it won’t be a walk in the park for Depor.
Team news
Barcelona go into the clash with all of their players available but with their thoughts also on their upcoming appearance in the UEFA Champions League final. It's a different situation for the men from A Coruña, who approach the trip to Barcelona without Luis Carlos Correia 'Luisinho', who is suspended due to accumulated yellow cards, and the injured trio Manuel Pablo, Cezary Wilk and Juanfran Moreno.
Views from the dugout
Luis Enrique, the FC Barcelona manager, is taking this encounter seriously despite not having anything to play for: "We need a solid performance ahead of the two upcoming finals". Meanwhile, Víctor Sánchez del Amo stated that his side will be treating this encounter as if it were a final: "We have one matchday left to achieve our main objective, which is staying up. We'll be going out there to win, and if not to draw. After that, we'll see how the rest of the teams get on".
