Getafe CF and Levante UD will play each other on matchday 33 of the Liga BBVA, in a game where both the Madrid and Valencia sides will be hoping to consolidate a place in the comfortable area of the table.
Nobody wants to go into the last few games with very little space between them and the drop zone, so a victory would give a little oxygen to either side ahead of the next few matches. Getafe have gone two games without losing at home, a place where Pablo Franco’s men have only lost one of the seven clashes they have played against Levante.
Team News
Getafe will be without Juan Valera, who has had slight injury problems throughout the week, nor will they have Alexis Ruano or Emiliano Velázquez due to bans, therefore the Madrid outfit will have to reinvent themselves for the game. Ángel Lafita, Karim Yoda and Álvaro Vázquez are seriously injured and will be unavailable for the rest of the season. For Levante, Lucas Alcaraz will not have Pape Diop available as he continues his recovery from a sprained knee.
Views from the dugout
Getafe coach Franco stressed the significance of the match, with the opportunity to "leave ourselves all but safe" against Levante. And he added: "The team’s intention is to go out to win the game and end the matchday with 39 points". Opposite number Alcaraz also analysed the encounter between his side and the capital club, declaring: "They’re going to have a competitive team and it’s a tough ground to go to". For the Levante boss, what’s most important is "being competitive" and "playing to our best".
