The Real Madrid player Cristiano Ronaldo has been awarded the prize for 'Best Forward in the 2013-14 Liga BBVA' in the '2014 LFP Awards Ceremony', recognising him as the best attacking player last season in the top flight of Spanish football, ahead of the likes of Diego Costa (formerly of Atlético Madrid) and Carlos Vela (Real Sociedad).
When the Portuguese footballer is on the field, goals are the order of the day. This was clear last season, when he found the net 31 times in 30 Liga BBVA games for the Whites. With an average of 1.03 goals per match, he is a rampant striker, game changer who beat records with every season that goes by.
Cristiano Ronaldo is in his sixth campaign as a Real Madrid player and, since his arrival, his stats have spoken for themselves. In the last four seasons, the Portuguese player has scored at least 30 goals, with his best tally of 46 coming in 2011-12.
The Golden Boot he won last season is testament to his perseverance, dedication and hard work up front. Cristiano Ronaldo is a predator in attack who excels every weekend in the Liga BBVA wearing the white shirt.
"I'd like to thank my teammates again, Real Madrid, the fans, my friends, my
girlfriend, my son. It is always good to win prizes, I think that it has
been fair and I'm very happy."
