Málaga CF host Córdoba CF on matchday 27 in the Liga BBVA. The hosts will want to put their 1-0 defeat at Granada CF from last week behind them and instead fight for a victory that takes them closer to the European spots, which they are seven points from at the moment.
Miroslav Djukić’s side meanwhile occupy last place in the league table and have lost their last seven matches. Málaga beat Córdoba 2-1 earlier this season, so the visitors will have to improve on that performance if they want to stay alive in the fight for survival.

Javi Gracia has named the same squad for the third week in a row and is still without injured players Flavio Ferreira, Roberto Chen, Sergio Sánchez and Javi Guerra. Iago Bouzón, who is out for the rest of the season, and Íñigo López, suspended after picking up five yellow cards, are Córdoba’s only absentees.

“This is a very important game for us and we have to see these points as vital to our fight to achieve our objectives. With the right attitude and humility, we all aspire to achieve something great,” said Málaga boss Javi Gracia.
Visiting coach Djukić meanwhile said “our objective is to win the game at Málaga and that’s what we’re focusing on doing. We can’t look further ahead or further back. We need to go out onto the pitch with a good mentality and to win.”
