Córdoba say goodbye to 'Chapi' Ferrer

Córdoba CF announced on Monday that Albert 'Chapi' Ferrer is no longer their manager, having left the side he earned promotion with from Liga Adelante last year.

"Albert Ferrer is no longer the first team coach of Córdoba. He was informed of the decision taken in a meeting held at the club’s headquarters. Córdoba CF would like to thank Albert Ferrer for the work he has done, and his name will always be linked to the history of the club after achieving a return to Liga BBVA for the first time in 42 years", is how his departure was announced.

Ferrer took over in February, and took charge of 16 Liga Adelante, four playoff and eight Liga BBVA ties. In his first involvement in management in Spain, 'Chapi' won eight, drew 13 and lost seven of his games.
