Casillas and Bravo nominated for the 'FIFA FIFPro World XI 2014'

The Liga BBVA has shown again that it is a world leader. On Monday, FIFA.com published the list of goalkeepers nominated for the FIFA FIFPro World XI 2014, which features Iker Casillas (Real Madrid CF), Claudio Bravo (Real Sociedad / FC Barcelona) and Thibaut Courtois (ex- Atlético Madrid player).

The Real Madrid shot-stopper is back on the list of nominees for the position he made his own for five years on the trot, from 2008 to 2012. For his part, Barcelona's Chilean international's place on the list for 2014 is a first, and it follows some great performances for his previous club, and at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Like the Spain international and the South American player, an ex-Liga BBVA player and champion last year with Atlético Madrid, Thibaut Courtois, is also among the five players nominated. Gianluigi Buffon and Manuel Neuer are the other two players who will be battling with the Liga BBVA stars for a place among last year's best.

This award is chosen through a vote by the players for themselves carried out by professional footballers around the world. The players choose one goalkeeper, four defenders, three midfielders and three forwards. The governing body of football also announced that the list of defenders, midfielders and forwards will be published on 26 and 28 November and 1 December, respectively, on FIFA.com.
