Team News:

Atletico Madrid: Augusto Fernandez and Alessio Cerci (both injured).

- Real Madrid: Toni Kroos, Alvaro Morata, Casemiro and Pepe (all injured).

Match Facts:

Atletico Madrid (4th, 21 pts)

- After succumbing to Real Sociedad at Anoeta last time out, Diego Simeone's men are looking to get back to winning ways in LaLiga Santander. What better occasion to do so than against their arch-rivals?

- The recent stats are stacked in Atletico's favour: the Rojiblancos are undefeated in their last six games against Los Blancos in the Spanish top flight, of which they have won four and drawn two. This is their longest-ever unbeaten streak against their neighbours in the league.

Real Madrid (1st, 27 pts)

- The league leaders head to the Calderon on the back of four straight victories in LaLiga Santander, in which they've scored 15 goals. They will be bidding to make it a high five this weekend in order to claim bragging rights and continue sitting pretty at the top of the table.

- Although Alvaro Morata remains out, his fellow striker Karim Benzema and key defender Sergio Ramos have recovered in time for one of the biggest games of the season. The influential duo's availability will be a major boost to their side's hopes of coming away with three points.

- Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane heaped praise on Atletico ahead of the encounter: "They're a team who get better and better every year. They've got a very good coach who has really stamped his mark since he took charge and is doing a phenomenal job."
