Born-again leaders Barcelona host basement boys

After moving top again with their win at the Bernabeu, the buoyant Catalans face an Osasuna side who are hoping to replicate the shock they pulled off at the Camp Nou in 2009.

CA Osasuna: Javier Flaño, Miguel Flaño, Tano, Nikola Vujadinovic, Didier Digard, Oriol Riera and Emmanuel Riviere (all injured)

Match Facts:

Barcelona (1st, 75 pts)

- Barça'sbreathtaking 3-2 victory at the Santiago Bernabeu, secured through Lionel Messi's late strike, breathed new life into both them and the LaLiga Santander title race. Luis Enrique's charges are now enjoying the view from the summit and will be determined to win their five remaining matches (against Osasuna, RCD Espanyol, Villarreal CF, UD Las Palmas and SD Eibar) to give themselves the best possible chance of being crowned champions, although Real Madrid's game in hand means Los Blancos remain in the driving seat.

- This is a top-v-bottom clash not just in terms of the league table, but also in regard to the division's average possession charts (Barcelona lead the way with 65.68%, while Osasuna bring up the rear with 39.53%).

- Messi's dramatic winner means that he has now scored three injury-time goals in LaLiga Santander this term, more than any other player.

Osasuna (20th, 18 pts)

- Needing a miracle to stay up, the basement boys will be looking for a repeat of their famous 1-0 win away to Los Azulgranas in 2009, when Walter Pandiani plundered the only goal of the game. However, that was the Pamplona outfit's sole victory in their last 10 visits to the Camp Nou.

- Osasuna have won more matches on the road (two) than at home (one) this season. This is only true of one other side in LaLiga Santander: D. Alaves (six to five).

- "We've got to go out there and compete, with no fear." This was coach Petar Vasiljevic's verdict ahead of the trip to the Camp Nou. The Serbian also urged his troops to display grit and character in what is sure to be a testing encounter: "We've got to show spirit, pride and discipline. We'll have to be prepared for Barcelona's style of play, which will see them boss the ball."
