They say all good things come to an end. They also say that you should save the best for last. The #LigaBBVAExperience was heading into its final stages and after two incredible days, our fans awoke for the third and final day of their trip. The end of the experience was going to be incredible, but they didn't yet know what we had lined up for them.
Hotel lobby. 12:00. Everyone was wearing their R. Betis shirt. Our international fans headed out in the green-and white stripes and did not take them off all day. Their visit to the Benito Villamarin the day before had brought them a little closer to Betis.
Murillo Gardens. 12:30. Carriage ride. Whilst yesterday they familiarised themselves with the Plaza de España, flamenco and the local ham, today was a day for horses. There is no other way of squeezing so much into so little time. Our guests explored every corner of Seville riding in a traditional horse-drawn carriage.
Betisweb supporters' club. 14:00. Prawns, ham, flamenco and plenty of Betis. The fans got to know the Betisweb supporters' club, one of the most famous in Seville, and had the opportunity to share their passion for the club.
Benito Villamarin. 18:00. The dream begins. Before the kick-off, the fans from Argentina, Brazil, and Trinidad and Tobago were presented with commemorative plaques accrediting them as global LaLiga ambassadors. Rafael Gordillo, the legendary Spanish footballer, did the honours. Then it was time for the match. The fans enjoyed the exciting clash between Betis and FC Barcelona, and were thrilled by the intensity displayed by both teams, as well as the goals by Ivan Rakitic and Luis Suarez, which gave Barça the three points.
Mixed zone. 22:30. The surprise. They entered the mixed zone and the Betis players gave them a real send-off. They signed their shirts, posed alongside them and joked with them. "Shall we take you back to Argentina. You must miss it," the Argentines said to German Pezella. 00:00h. The #LigaBBVAExperience continues to make dreams come true.
