Benzema scored January's goal of the month in Liga BBVA

Fans will always remember goals, for the moments of joy in the stands and great build up play out on the pitch seen week in week out all over Spain. One goal that will live long in the memory is Karim Benzema's second strike against Real Sociedad, and it is this goal that has been chosen by LFP.es as the month's best.

After coming back from 0-1 down, the Whites dominated the game. It was Benzema who made it 3-1 in the second half, however it was his exquisite effort in the 76th minute to make it 4-1 after a one-two with Isco Alarcón that really caught the eye.

The Frenchman has played 19 times in Liga BBVA this season, scoring 11 times. In January he has not only found the back of the net, but also laid on goals, including against Getafe as he set up Cristiano Ronaldo in a move that club legend Emilio Butragueño would have been proud of.
