Paco Herrera (Barcelona, 2 December 1953), the UD Las Palmas manager, has received the BBVA Award for the best manager in November for his work at the helm of the island team in recent weeks.
The Catalan manager led his team to a magnificent month in which they were undefeated. They recorded three wins against tricky opponents such as Girona FC and R. Valladolid CF and the courageous Albacete B., and gave up just two points against CD Mirandés. His men scored six goals and conceded just three, making them one of the most efficient teams in the competition.
The impressive form and results keep coming for a coach who is very familiar with the division and already has the Canary Island side at the top of the Liga Adelante. Herrera and Las Palmas look like they could produce one of the side's most successful seasons in recent years as they fight for promotion to the Spanish topflight.
