SÁB 21.02.2015
FC Barcelona host Málaga CF in matchday 24 in the Liga BBVA on Saturday at 16:00 CET. Javi Gracia’s side face the difficult task of beating one of the most in-form teams at the moment to get closer to the UEFA Europa League spots. Barcelona are the team to beat at the moment, enjoying their best form of the season after winning 11 games in a row in all competitions.
Team news
Luis Enrique is boosted by the return of Andrés Iniesta from the flu, while Dani Alves has completed his suspension for racking up five yellow cards. Málaga will be without Ignacio Camacho and Nordin Amrabat, suspended after picking up a fifth yellow card for the season in the 2-0 defeat at home to Espanyol. Academy players Egor Filipenko and Juanpi Añor will occupy their place in the squad for the trip to the Camp Nou.
The view from the dugouts
Luis Enrique, despite playing Manchester City FC next week in the UEFA Champions League, insists that the game with Málaga is his team’s “principle objective”. Javi Gracia meanwhile said Barcelona were “a team that forces you to play to the limit for 90 minutes”, but insisted “there is a chance we could win and we are going to try and take it. We have to be an organised and committed team, but we will have the opportunity to go out and play, attack and counterattack.”
