Yokohama International Stadium was full and there was a vibrant atmosphere waiting for the start of the FIFA Club World Cup final. River Plate and Barcelona took part in a breathtaking match
Parity prevailed during the first 45 minutes. Barcelona's first opportunity came from Leo Messi’s boots, but River keeper Marcelo Barovero saved his shot. Claudio Bravo also had to intervene on several occasions. The intensity and pressure continued from both teams but Messi didn’t spurn his second chance. The Argentine made the most of a great assist by Neymar to make it 1-0. The Spanish team kept their advantage up to the break.

The start of the second half turned out perfectly for Luis Enrique’s men. When hardly five minutes had gone by, Luis Suarez buried a shot in the back of the net from an outstanding assist by Sergio Busquets. The second goal gave the Spaniards complete control over the game, with many passes and amazing style. It ended up giving way to Luis Suarez’s second goal. It was one to remember. Neymar crossed the ball into the box for the Uruguayan to score with a perfect header.
