Real Madrid CF recorded their fifth consecutive Liga BBVA victory as they defeated Real Valladolid CF 4-0 with three goals from Gareth Bale and one from Karim Benzema.
The Whites came out of the traps like a force of nature. Ángel Di María, whose shot crashed into the crossbar, and Sergio Ramos, could both have opened the scoring before the ten minute mark, and it was a shot that flew off the Argentinian's boot that led to the home team's first goal, the work of Bale, 33 minutes into the match. Three minutes later, Benzema doubled his team's advantage after a cross from the Welshman to create a cushion before the break.
The Welsh striker was back in the second half with two more goals to seal another league win for Real Madrid. The victory means that the Whites are still nipping at the heels of Club Atlético de Madrid and FC Barcelona in third place in the Liga BBVA table.
